To fulfill our ongoing mission to serve our region, Capital Area Housing Finance Corporation (CAHFC) has entered into a partnership with the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) to facilitate home ownership for first time homebuyers within the CAHFC nine county service area.

This partnership utilizes the TDHCA programs and lender network to originate mortgage loans. Down payment and closing cost assistance (DPA) is provided, when applicable, through the TDHCA program. In addition, the CAHFC DPA funds are added to the TDHCA funds for maximum impact in helping first time buyers.

The CAHFC funds are provided to the buyer in the form of a GRANT. Therefore, there is no repayment necessary on these funds. CAHFC is self-funding this program to continue our investment in our communities and citizens, while helping residents fulfill their dreams of home ownership.
